Chris Baker: Major: Telecommunications; Year: Senior; After three and a half years I've finally made it to the precipice. Staring down into the abyss that is the real world, I can't help but reflect on the path I've taken to get here. Creativity is the variety spoken about in the old adage about the spices of life, and this particular spice is my passion. Whatever the medium, be it radio, film, television, or screenwriting, I've traveled a path that has allowed me to hone a skill found in humanity throughout the centuries; telling a story. Alex Bippus: Major: Telecommunications; Year: Junior; I was drawn towards television production at an early age. It amazed me that I was able to watch live events from all around the world, all from the comfort of my living room. Since that young age, I have decided that I would like to pursue a career in television production. After gaining valuable experience at Penn State, I realized that I love working in production more than I could have imagined. I first began my college career as a history major but soon realized that wasn't the path I was meant to take. Although I played both the piano and clarinet, and sang in choir for about 8 years, I knew that this was not the path for me. Entertaining people has always been a passion of mine. While some kids watched Saturday morning cartoons, I was pretending I had my own radio show. Telecommunications in my opinion offers a variety of courses that provide hands-on experience that will help me excel in my field of study.
