Steinwehr Avenue in Gettysburg is a magnet for tourists who patronize its quaint shops and soak in the atmosphere of a town that was the site of a famous Civil War battle. On many days that experience includes meeting a man dressed in the uniform of a Union officer - "Colonel" Roy Smith, a volunteer ambassador for his community.
