State College freegans enjoy dining from dumpsters

A junior studying anthropology, Chris Stevens started out dumpster diving after reading a Daily Collegian article his freshman year detailing a student’s dumpster adventures. Stevens was intrigued and made his first dive behind a local restaurant where, he said, garbage bags are filled with "freshly baked" breads and pastries that are "sometimes still warm."
